History was made in the Malaysian rail industry on 3rd August 2023.
Gathering 1 Transport Minister, 2 senior Malaysian speakers, 8 foreign speakers, 80 students and 500 conference delegates, Women in Rail Malaysia led the way in organizing a conference to discuss global iconic infrastructure projects and technological innovations which are impacting the world we know and live in today.
With the focus on Asia Pacific, gender diversity in the rail industry, AI and new rail technologies, the conference opened the eyes of stakeholders in the Malaysian rail space to projects and international initiatives which had never been presented in Malaysia before.
Japan’s SC MAGLEV connecting Tokyo to Osaka, Indonesia’s Ibu Kota Nusantara, Malaysia’s HSR linking Kuala Lumpur to Singapore in 90 minutes as well as Thailand’s multiple HSR lines were some of the key highlights of the conference.
Delegates were clearly excited to meet face to face again whilst simultaneously quenching their thirst for knowledge and desire for business networking, making the conference most definitely the highlight in Malaysia’s transport calendar for 2023.
Women in Rail Malaysia will continue to play an important role in nation building by bringing together the business community, students and academics to learn and grow, whilst providing a conducive space for collaboration amongst rail players.
