On 15th December 2023, Women in Rail Malaysia organized a spectacular All-White Party to close out the year on a high note. The first such Women in Rail Malaysia All-White Party was organised in 2019, and after a long hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, members were excited to gather again, to let their hair down and celebrate what had been a challenging 2023.
70 members came together on that Friday evening, all adorned in white, to celebrate Women in Rail Malaysia’s accomplishments in what has been an eventful 2023. The unforgettable evening was filled with much joy and camaraderie.
The event commenced with a heartfelt opening speech, delivered by our Founder Director, Natasha Zulkifli. Her words set the tone for the evening, emphasizing the importance of unity and celebration within our organization.
We were immensely privileged to welcome DCP Dato’ Sasikala Devi a/p Subramaniam, the Deputy Chief of Police at PDRM Selangor, as our special guest. Dato’ Sasikala shared her professional journey at PDRM, providing invaluable insights from her journey in law enforcement, what keeps her motivated and resilient, along with the unique challenges she has encountered as a female leader in the police force. This special session was interactive, allowing our members to engage directly with her, ask questions and forge connections.
Following this inspiring and enlightening conversation, a sumptuous dinner was served. Amidst the delightful culinary offerings, an atmosphere of warmth and laughter filled the room as everyone engaged in a relaxed and enjoyable networking session. Stories, laughter and meaningful connections were shared while fostering a sense of unity amongst everyone.
This gathering not only provided a platform for our members to interact but also reinforced the sense of community within Women in Rail Malaysia, paving the way for continued collaboration and support in the upcoming year.
