On 24th October 2024, we had the incredible opportunity to host Women in Rail Malaysia’s 12th Leadership Talk, titled ‘Breaking Barriers: How Women Can Lead in the Corporate World,’ in collaboration with 30% Club Malaysia at Menara YTL.
Over 70 people joined us to hear from Madam Nurul A’in Abdul Latif, Chair of the 30% Club Malaysia and PwC’s first female Executive Chair. Having spent over 25 years in audit, business advisory, and leadership, Madam Nurul shared her personal journey of breaking barriers in the corporate world, navigating challenges and championing diversity and inclusion.
One of the key takeaways is that leadership isn’t about fitting into a mold, it’s about embracing your strengths, seizing opportunities and supporting one another. Madam Nurul also highlighted the importance of mentorship, continuous learning and confidence in climbing the corporate ladder.
The session wrapped up with a lively Q&A, where participants get to engage in deep discussions on navigating workplace challenges, leadership growth and how organizations can foster more inclusive environments. Afterward, we continued the conversation and participants had the opportunity to connect with one another over lunch.
