In September 2023, Women in Rail Malaysia proudly hosted its 10th Leadership Talk, featuring Datuk Mohd Rani Hisham bin Samsudin, Group CEO of KTMB Malaysia sharing on “Shaping The Future of Rail Transport: Innovations and Inclusivity at KTMB”.
40 members of Women in Rail Malaysia attended the talk where Datuk Rani shared his leadership vision emphasizing innovation and inclusivity at KTMB, a company with roots dating back to 1885. He also detailed KTMB’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where employees from diverse backgrounds contribute to the company’s success.
Acknowledging challenges along the way, Datuk Rani discussed how KTMB navigated obstacles such as overcoming resistance to change and in addressing diversity gaps. The talk provided valuable insights into the strategies and solutions implemented to ensure sustained progress.
Towards the end of the luncheon, members jumped at the chance to engage in the Q&A session with Datuk Rani. He concluded the Leadership Talk by expressing his optimism for the future of KTMB, envisioning a railway network that not only evolves with technological advancements but also remains inclusive and responsive to the needs of everyone. The session left attendees inspired and motivated, recognizing the role of innovation and inclusivity in shaping the trajectory of KTMB in the years to come.
